Search Queries
Text entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Talladega County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

Standard technical information may be received when a page loads:

This site does not maintain, combine, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content describes how official Talladega County records can be obtained from the sheriff, court clerks, city agencies, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, corrections systems, and Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

An outside company powers each search box. Information submitted there is controlled by that company's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Talladega County Criminal History cannot direct those practices. Review the provider's terms before entering a query.

Links may lead to Alabama agencies, Talladega County offices, courts, police departments, legal resources, advertising services, or search providers. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy rules control the visit. Some advertising services may use their own technology to measure activity across sites; that processing occurs on their systems.

Rights depend on a visitor's location, the responsible data processor, and applicable law. Alabama's Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Ala. Code §§8-19-1 et seq., governs certain consumer practices. The Alabama Open Records Act, principally §§36-12-40 and 36-12-41, concerns government public writings, not private visitor analytics. Criminal-history dissemination is separately controlled by Ala. Code §§41-9-590 et seq. Where a right applies, it may include:
